Responsibilities
Responsibilities include preparation, teaching, and conducting courses as assigned including but not limited to laboratory courses and clinicals supervision. Duties may include but not limited to develop syllabi; facilitate student learning in classroom and lab settings, recruit, advise, tutor, and evaluate students. Teaching assignments may include some evenings and occasional travel.
Seward County Community College is a comprehensive institution which places primary emphasis on excellence in classroom instruction and is currently seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable individual to instruct in the Allied Health Division. The typical teaching load is 30 credit hours per academic year. Classes will include but are not limited to: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Medical Terminology.
Qualifications
Minimum Required: Must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of three (3) years experience in long-term care/clinical experience required. Must meet requirements as determined by the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services. Current Kansas Register Nursing License and BLS certification.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Nursing or subfield. Previous teaching instruction in community college or secondary education preferred.
