We are seeking a Health Department Clerk/Interpreter/Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with administrative tasks, provide interpretation services for non-English speaking individuals, and manage front desk duties in a healthcare setting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in English and at least one other language, with strong interpretation skills
- Experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Proficient in basic computer applications and office equipment
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide interpretation services for patients who speak languages other than English
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and photocopying
- Handle phone calls and emails in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations in the department
