Industrial Sewer/Embroidery Machine Operator
SSI is a small, dynamic company that develops and produces a variety of products, from customizable luggage tags to maintenance seat covers for a private jet company. Our customer base includes other businesses as well as individuals through our e-commerce operations. We’re a collection of different products and operate in one facility with one group of employees handling all of the production needs. This unique model creates an exciting and ever-changing work environment.
POSITION
We’re looking for a Part Time Production Associate (25 hours/week) to join our team. The position is responsible for assembly of our products by monitoring and using a variety of equipment including industrial and automated sewing machines, embroidery machines and other tools. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Properly and safely operate all machinery, hand tools and related equipment to assemble finished products.
- Inspect all materials to ensure quality and consistency
- Commitment to working in and maintaining a safety-first environment
- Participate in normal “housekeeping” activities to maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Identify potential process improvements
EXPERIENCE - We are looking for candidates who:
- Like to Learn (along with a positive, can-do attitude) - Experience isn’t required. We will train on all tasks if needed. Any previous production, manufacturing, or sewing/embroidery experience is helpful.
- Like Variety - Position requires self-starters who have experience moving between multiple tasks and responsibilities on the same day
- Good Team Player - Teamwork is required to coordinate the work to be done as well as some of our products require employees to work together to produce
- Provide High Quality Work & Customer Service - Our current staff take great pride in the great reviews and feedback we receive on our products and service
- Education - Completed high school or have your GED.
- Physical - Ok with standing, sitting, bending, kneeling regularly as well as lifting 40 pounds
WORK SCHEDULE
- 9 am - 2 pm Monday through Friday. We typically require additional hours in November through the middle of December (our busy time for Visitag.com sales).
- Our manufacturing site is in Kimberly.
BENEFITS
- $16.00 - $19.00/hour based on experience
