The newly formed Trading Shared Services team in New York is seeking a dynamic, pro-active and hands-on technology leader . The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a broad set of functions across our highly successful Trade Entry and Risk Management system, post execution services including Clearing & Middleware ,Regulatory Reporting and our Core Matching and Trade Processing Services . The team is functionally aligned so gives the individual a great opportunity to go deep as well as gain a broad exposure across all major asset classes on the system .In Addition , with a major focus on Regulatory reporting , the candidate as an expert in the regulatory landscape will not only master existing and upcoming complex Jurisdictions requirements but also will have the fantastic opportunity to help shape our future by bringing in technical expertise to help enhance existing processes as we scale and update the systems and flows.
The successful candidate will primarily work on SecDb / Slang (full training will be provided) with some opportunities to use Java . This powerful object database and language underpins pricing across the firm, for both the front offices and the control functions . Problem solving ability ,good communication skills and leadership with a proven track record of delivery , influence and impact are key requirements for this role .
Skills & Requirements
Required
10 Years of commercial experience
Strong Technical and Analytical skills
Proven Experience with Object Oriented Programming (Java, C#, .NET, C , Python)
Strong Data Structures knowledge
Excellent communications skills
Pro-active and takes initiative
Highly curious, and willing to learn facets of the firm's business as it pertains to the team's remit.
Preferred
Experience working in Trade Entry and Risk Management systems similar to SecDB is a plus.
Knowledge of the financial regulatory landscape a plus.
Experience with Functional Programming is preferred but not required.
