Role and Responsibilities: The Senior HR Generalist is an experienced professional who designs, implements, and monitors a wide range of HR functions within an organization, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, learning and development, compensation administration, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. The Senior HR Generalists also provide guidance and support to the HR Division team and SFBLI leadership on various projects and initiatives. This role will play a critical part in recruiting, improving the employee lifecycle through data-driven insights, and shaping and implementing HR strategies to support the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in managing the complete recruiting cycle, partnering with hiring managers to define hiring needs, creating job postings, and sourcing candidates. Develop talent pipelines and recruitment strategies to attract diverse and qualified candidates. Analyze recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source of hire) and provide recommendations to improve hiring efficiency and candidate experience.
- Support compensation planning by benchmarking roles, conducting internal equity analyses, and providing data-informed recommendations. Assist with annual salary review processes, merit increases, and compensation surveys.
- Assist in maintaining HR data in the HRIS to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Develop and deliver regular reports and dashboards on HR metrics. Use data insights to guide decision-making and improve HR strategies and programs.
- Partner with learning and development to assess training needs and design programs that align with business goals and employee development. Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and workshops.
- Provide guidance to employees and leaders on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Serve as a resource for employee relations matters, helping to resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
- Support performance management processes, including goal-setting, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws; update policies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; or a combination of education and experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- Four years of professional Human Resources experience with strong capabilities in multiple HR disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing HR projects is a plus.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and find creative ways to address challenges
- Ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into strategic business actions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Experience with HRIS systems, workforce planning tools, and HR process automation.
