Senior Programmer Analyst (Big Data & Reporting) (SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, Chicago, IL)
Design, develop and implement technical solutions in Microsoft Azure environments. Work with distributed systems like Spark, ADLS, Eventhub with huge volume of data. Troubleshoot performance issues by looking at Spark DAGs, PostgreSQL execution plans. Support deconstruction of customer requests into detailed stories by interacting with the Product Owner. Deliver working code that meets acceptance criteria as well as meets the denition of done at different levels. Write code, deploy scripts, unit test, check code to source code repository, and monitor delivery pipeline activity to ensure product quality and consistency. Conduct testing, deployment, and production activities of the team to ensure production stability, applying the guidelines provided by the chapters. Engage in pair programming to write high quality code that’s easy to understand and support. Write tests - very often before the associated code - at unit level with Junit, Mockito and in BDD style with Cucumber. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to attend backlog renement and planning sessions to discuss and estimate (small, medium, large) upcoming stories. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, 425 S. Financial Place, Chicago, IL 60605. Salary : $148,949-250,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Bachelors’ Degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Programmer Analyst, Software Developer, or any occupation / position / job title involving distributed systems in an international financial IT environment.
Must also have experience in the following : 5 years of professional experience working with distributed systems (including batch and real-time processing) using tools including Spark, Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Synapse and CosmosDB; 5 years of professional experience utilizing orchestration tools including UC4 One Automation and Airow; 5 years of professional experience performing Change and Release management; 5 years of professional experience working with Back Office systems (including GMI, Shadow, Murex, and Xone) and reporting systems (including SAP BO, SSIS, and SSRS); 5 years of professional experience utilizing Cloud technology (including AWS or Azure) and Big Data technology (including Spark, Hive, Avro, or Parquet); 5 years of professional experience performing relational databases development (including Oracle PL / SQL and MS SQL Server); and 5 years of professional experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating third party RESTful APIs.
