Data Analyst

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Data Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Fountain Valley, CA.

Responsibilities :

• Build and implement reconciliation and reporting tools for multiple projects including US Account Bank transaction onboarding and Latin American application migrations.
• Assist with the LATAM EUC Remediation and template setup project
• Assist with the ABS, CAT Bond, and RMBS migration projects
• Assist with design and development of various Excel and python-based models to create prototype solutions to redesign and automate existing processes
• Test models, data and related reports for completeness and accuracy
• Create reconciliation and validation tools for structured finance transactions utilizing python

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in a programming language such as python is required, proficiency in VBA is desirable but not required
• BS degree in finance or a relevant quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering required, and related advanced degree strongly preferred
• Strong command of conversational and written Spanish required
• Must be highly competent with Excel
• Must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent work ethic, detail-oriented and good communication skills
• Must be motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

• Some experience in banking or debt capital markets industry is preferred
