Temporary position: 40 days contract

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for responding to credit card companies regarding cardholder disputes and chargebacks, managing approximately $5M annually per coordinator and $40M company-wide. Additionally, perform collection efforts on receivables arising from unpaid cruise reservations and onboard folios.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Retrieve and review daily credit card activity related to disputes and chargebacks, compiling supporting documentation using AS400 reservation system applications, electronic and paper records, and third-party software.
- Respond to credit card companies, travel agents, and passengers both in writing and verbally, ensuring adherence to designated deadlines.
- Maintain organized case files for future reference, follow-up, and support.
- Pursue collection efforts with travel agents and passengers for receivables related to cruise reservations and onboard folio charges, including returned checks, chargeback disputes, travel agent commissions, and other unpaid balances.
- Collaborate with various departments—including Reservations, Groups, Customer Service, Sales Administration, Casino, Human Resources, and Shipboard Administration—to support collection efforts.
- Work with external collection agencies and the internal Legal Department to recover unpaid balances.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and additional processes as requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or two to four years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Experience in an AS400 environment and familiarity with JD Edwards or a similar accounting system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Capability to function in a high-volume environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with various departments on voyage verification and validation issues.
- Knowledge of the cruise industry.
