Position Summary : This is a Customer Service team lead position responsible for answering inquiries from all internal Supply Chain departments and RCG Shipboard personnel. The role involves overseeing and providing direction to Supply Chain Warehouse operations for the receiving, shipping, and document requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries from the Fleet and Supply Chain departments, including resolving receiving discrepancies, unknown (quarantine) shipments, shipping / loading details, documentation issues, and daily researching and resolution of invoices in dispute.
- Train and supervise outsourced team handling daily customer service tasks.
- Provide instructions and information to suppliers, warehouses, and internal Supply Chain departments regarding documentation, DOT requirements, state, and local requirements to ensure compliance with all regulations. Coordinate with the transportation department on steamship bookings, loadings, and filing IMOs to ensure timely shipments consistent with the MLS.
- Perform assigned audit steps on the invoices in dispute (IIDs).
- Direct the issuance and production of operational metric reports and service issues to Senior Management.
- Manage warehouse and suppliers’ non-conformances by addressing them with the Procurement Buyers / Commodity managers.
