What are the responsibilities and job description for the RECEPTIONIST position at SGMC?
- Performs receptionist duties. Provides a positive first impression to the public. Answers the telephone and schedules appointments. Obtains and enters verbal and written information into the computer. Obtains required signatures according to policy. Distributes paperwork to appropriate areas. Handles routine inquiries and problems. Interacts with a variety of individuals at all levels. Collects and inputs payments.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education:
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- CRP (A) required
- Experience in secretarial and/or business office training (preferred)
- Accurate computer keyboard and typing skills
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to function as part of a team, meeting patient and team goals and needs accurately and in expected time frame.
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in timely manner, considering priorities appropriately.
- Ability to read, write, perform simple calculations, and follow written and verbal instructions.
