We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an engaging first impression of the restaurant.
- Manage the seating chart and coordinate with servers to ensure timely seating of guests.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about menu offerings, reservations, and special events.
- Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods while keeping guests informed of their wait times and setting of tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and waiting area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, enhancing overall guest relations.
- Utilize POS system for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences when applicable.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest relations.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a cohesive team atmosphere.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $18.27 - $19.85 per hour
