Construction Sales Representative
Job Overview
Shaffer's Electrical Contracting, Inc. is in Sanford, Florida, about twenty-five miles north of Orlando. The Company is seeking a full-time General Construction Sales Representative. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for sales and a desire to make a positive impact on the growth of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relations with existing clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build construction bids, generate quotes, negotiate terms of agreement and close sales.
- Cultivate relationships with current customers and identify and reach out to potential customers.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize sales. Meet or exceed established sales targets.
- Coordinate with team members and other departments to optimize the sales effort.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
Qualifications For Success
- 3-5 years of general construction experience coupled with sales in a commercial setting.
- Knowledge of the commercial specification and construction process, from build out, installation and maintenance services.
- Ability to read and understand construction blueprints.
- High sense of urgency and goal-driven with a need-to-win attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a passion for customer service and with the ability to build relationships with customer satisfaction.
- Knowledgeable of the market trends in the general construction industry for effective sales strategies.
- Must be able to travel in and outside of Florida.
- Must have a valid and insurable driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
- Work overtime as needed.
Pay Range: $50,000 to $110,000 annually (base and commission) with potential progression in salary.
