Summary/Objective:
Logistic Coordinator will coordinate all warehouse functions which include the receiving, shipping, and scheduling Freight, coordinating with production and Warehouse Team, and ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded. This role must be exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations. The Logistics Coordinator role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and materials within an organization. Their primary responsibility is to oversee the entire logistics process, from planning and procurement to distribution and delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordination of Shipments: Organize and coordinate shipments of goods, ensuring timely delivery to customers or distribution centers. This involves scheduling transportation, arranging for carriers, and tracking shipments to ensure they reach their destinations on time.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Coordinate with suppliers to replenish inventory as needed and optimize inventory turnover.
- General Warehouse duties/forklift driving: Responsible for loading/unloading of trucks and will coordinate schedule according to trucking needs. Ensure proper placement of all products in warehouse and modify as needed.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, including bills of lading, customs forms, and shipping manifests. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and international trade laws.
- Communication: Serve as a point of contact between various stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, internal departments, and customers. Communicate effectively to ensure everyone is informed of shipment status, delays, or other logistical issues.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address logistical challenges, such as transportation delays, inventory discrepancies, or customs issues, in a timely and effective manner. Develop creative solutions to minimize disruptions to supply chain operations.
- Cost Management: Work to optimize transportation costs by negotiating favorable freight rates, consolidating shipments, and minimizing unnecessary expenses. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the logistics process.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate logistics processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement. Implement changes to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and improve overall performance.
- Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely information regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues that may arise. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Schedule and oversee warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
· Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze daily/weekly productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
· Collaborate with outside departments such as Quality, Distribution, Planning, Marketing and Sales and Production areas to resolve issues, determine production timing and delivery.
· Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
· Generate metrics and reports to ensure that all KPI achievements are met.
· Use the NetSuite system to ensure that all bill material transactions are entered correctly.
· Recommend staffing levels based on department needs.
· Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
· Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
· Assists with, or prepares and updates, organizations operations manual and policies.
· Other duties and projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred, but not required (or equivalent expericence ) in logistics or supply chain management
· two or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.
· Proficiency with SCM for warehouses
· Forklift licensed and pallet jack experience preferred.
