Music Teacher - General & Instrumental

Duties (include but are not limited to): •Follow the Core Teaching and Leadership Standards of Vermont Educators •Knowledge and implementation of the K-8 National Music standards and discrete strands to support general, instrumental and performance instruction. • As a music educator, you will have the unique opportunity to foster and support the value of music education, not just within the classroom, but also through your involvement in school-related events throughout the greater Monument School community. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the musical journey of our students, making a lasting impact on their lives. •Use summative and formative assessment information to provide students with feedback on learner goals •Establish and maintain standards of student behavior conducive to an effective learning environment as they align with a Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Framework •Electronic lesson planning for all classroom and instrumental instruction •Proficient in the use of Google Suite and electronic means of communication •Maintain productive lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning the progress of academic, social and behavior domains of all students •Implement administrative directives in a professional and supportive manner (re: new programs, expectations, and policies) •Adhere to all District policies and regulations.
