Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our small company atmosphere and oversee and manage construction projects from design to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong, skilled and experienced background in construction management, excellent time management skills, spread sheet capabilities and the ability to effectively communicate with various superintendents and office staff. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications - as we are an owner/builder company, highly driven and motivated individuals who are willing to go the extra mile and value relationships are important.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Utilize construction management software and tools such as Bluebeam , Google Drive, AIA Software and Smartsheet for project documentation and collaboration.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise on the construction site.
- Manage project estimating processes to provide accurate cost assessments for materials and labor.
- Implement safety protocols on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager
- Strong knowledge of construction management software
- Excellent blueprint reading skills and familiarity with schematics and contract documents.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with construction estimating techniques and tools such as Primavera is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships with diverse teams.
- Must be able to 1099 their own employment
