Located in Brighton, MA, Shaloh House Day School (K-6th grade), offers a unique educational experience. We’re searching for a knowledgeable, engaging and motivated teacher to teach both English Language Arts and Social Studies/History 3rd-6th grades.
Who You Are
· You have teaching experience and Educator License for grades 1st-5th or able to obtain one
· You have ability and willingness to obtain an ESL or SEI license during the school year (having the licenses already is a great plus)
· You have experience in following a school curriculum and enhancing it with your ideas.
· You challenge and engage students and keep discipline in a friendly way.
· You’re appreciate the environment that a small, independent school offers to students for learning and personal growth.
What You’ll Do
· Teach Language Arts and Social Studies to 3rd-6th grades.
· Supervise afterschool homework from 3 pm to 5 pm. (Monday-Thursday)
· Develop your own syllabus based on the school curriculum and expectations.
· Provide clear communication to parents on requirements and student progress.
· Participate in all required school professional development activities and school-wide events.
· Provide substitute coverage when needed.
· Perform lunch and recess duty for your assigned class/grade level.
