Shaloh House Jewish Day School (K-6) offers a unique learning experience with subject-specific teachers from 1st grade onward. Our graduates excel in top public, private, and religious schools, including a 100% placement rate at Boston Latin School.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Teach English Language Arts & Social Studies (Grades 3-6)
  • Flexible Schedule (can be a full or part time)
  • Supervise afterschool homework (3-5 PM, Mon-Thu)
  • Develop and enhance curriculum
  • Communicate student progress to parents
  • Participate in professional development & school events
  • Provide substitute coverage as needed
  • Perform lunch / recess duty

Qualifications

  • Teaching experience & Educator License (Grades 1-5) or eligibility to obtain one
  • ESL / SEI certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong classroom management & engaging teaching style
  • Appreciation for small, independent school environments

    • Schedule : ~30-40 hours / week (11 AM – 5 PM) (can be a full or part time) Flexible Schedule
