Front of House Team Member – Shami Cafe

Are you passionate about Middle Eastern food and looking to be part of a new, exciting restaurant? Shami Cafe, a fast-casual eatery specializing in Syrian street food, is opening its doors on May 2! We're looking for a friendly and motivated Front of House Team Member to join us, starting as early as April 20th for training and soft launch before our grand opening.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up the restaurant for daily service
• Greet guests and take orders
• Run food to tables and assist with service
• Bus tables and maintain a clean dining area
• Refill water and ensure a welcoming atmosphere
• Assist in keeping the restaurant clean and organized

• Punctual and reliable
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Self-motivated and willing to take initiative
• Passionate about Middle Eastern food and hospitality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to getting food and alcohol service permits
• Someone who wants to grow with our business

Job Details:

• Starting Pay: $16-20/hour depending on experience tips
• Hours: Part-time to start, with potential for more as we grow
• Start Date: April 20th (training period before opening)

Located at 5513 SE 63rd Ave, Portland, Shami Cafe is a fast-casual restaurant serving delicious sandwiches and bowls inspired by the flavors of Syrian street food. Our menu highlights chickpeas, ful (fava beans), and chicken, offering fresh, bold flavors in a welcoming space.
