Area Catering Sales Manager
Hotels | Renaissance Portsmouth-Norfolk Waterfront Hotel, The Landing at Hampton Marina, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Williamsburg.
The Area Catering Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting all accounts in their assigned market segments. This position is also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact the assigned hotel(s) top line room and event revenues based on the goals assigned to each hotel.
The Area Catering Sales Manager is the central contact for information specific to this department for assigned hotels. They will be responsible for selling meeting space and Food & Beverage for the assigned hotels. Responsibilities also include establishing new accounts through prospecting and outside sales calls, planning high quality client events, attending industry events, generating revenue by up selling and booking repeat business while keeping quality consistently high.

- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet business objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales plans accordingly.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop long-term partnerships to enhance business growth.
- Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data and prepare reports.
- Ensure efficient sales processes and adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations.
- Market Development & Brand Promotion:
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking activities.
- Promote brand awareness and positioning within the assigned region.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a managerial role.
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop sales strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel within the designated area.
