Position Overview:
Working directly with Client Meeting Planners on a timely basis to coordinate and service events. This includes planning, detailing all catering events, assisting with park events such as VIP Concerts, etc., and all other group requirements. This position is also responsible for upselling contracted food and beverage minimums and effectively communicating the client/groups needs to all hotel departments as they relate

Job Functions:
- Gathering information about the clients’ objectives, budget and preferences, providing advice about menus, decor and entertainment
- Communicate directly with the Client Meeting Planner to coordinate group activities and needs with the appropriate department, both on and off property
- Be proactive to ensure the needs of assigned groups are satisfied and any corrective actions are taken when needed
- Ensure all function sheets are sent to the client and signed off on by the client on a timely basis prior to the meeting date
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers
- Inspect meeting rooms prior to the start of the function for correct set up
- Greet clients and review functions scheduled for the day (i.e. mealtimes, guarantee counts, and scheduled activities.) Introduction to Banquet Manager
- Maintain a working knowledge of sleeping, meeting and dining room capabilities and capacities
- Clients should be kept informed of all additional charges incurred throughout the program. Review all master account charges on a daily basis and have client approve and sign off on them
- Maintain correct revenues in Delphi for forecasting purposes
- Continuously work to up sell the client with creative menus, theme packages, other programs, etc., over and above the contracted food and beverage minimum
- Obtain final programs from the meeting planner in an effort to cross check
