Job Summary:
The Sales and Catering Manager is responsible for generating revenue by securing group sales, meetings, and events for the hotel. This role involves developing relationships with clients, coordinating event details, and ensuring seamless execution of events while maximizing profitability and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong sales, negotiation, and organizational skills with a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in group sales, meetings, and catering events.
Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and local businesses.
Conduct site tours and sales presentations to potential clients.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize hotel revenue.
Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Event Coordination & Execution:
Work closely with clients to understand their event needs, including catering, audiovisual, setup, and special requests.
Collaborate with the hotel’s operations team, including F&B, front desk, and housekeeping, to ensure flawless event execution.
Create and maintain Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and communicate event details to all relevant departments.
Supervise event setup and execution to ensure customer satisfaction.
Handle any last-minute changes or issues that may arise during an event.
Administrative & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, contracts, and revenue forecasts.
Prepare reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
Utilize hotel sales and event management software to track leads and bookings.
Ensure compliance with brand standards, hotel policies, and legal regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum1 years of hotel sales, catering, or event planning experience.
Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple events.
Proficiency in hotel sales software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Work Environment:
Office setting with frequent interaction with clients and hotel staff.
Walking and standing for extended periods during site tours and event execution.
May require lifting items such as banquet materials and event setups up to 25 lbs.
