JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Loan Specialist
Reports to: Texas Market President / Senior Loan Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position summary:
Assist loan officers in the Texas Market with packaging and closing loans. Regular customer contact and support position. This person will also help support the Bank’s loan processing functions as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
· At all times represent Shamrock Bank in a professional manner.
· Assist Texas loan officers in developing, originating, servicing, and maintaining bank customer relationships.
· Follow and comply with all regulatory compliance and bank policy and procedures.
· Perform support duties critical to meeting customers’ needs.
· Organize and maintain customer files for loans in process.
· Ordering Title Insurance, Appraisals, Flood determination.
· Coordinating closing date and time with closing company and loan customers.
· Reviewing and delivering loan documentation to loan closing.
· Funding of loans including distribution of proceeds and collection of fees
· Compiling and delivering loan packages to Loan Operations for booking
· Remain current on all pertinent lending and financial institution related laws and regulations.
· Promote bank products and services.
· Potentially assist with other duties needed by the Central Loan Department.
· Any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills Expected
· Minimum of 2 years banking experience with loan processing experience preferred.
· Knowledge of Excel and Word or similar programs,
· Familiarity with loan compliance and documentation requirements with experience in exception tracking preferred.
· Notary Registration – must be willing to obtain and maintain notary licensing.
