Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Technical Support Intern to join the IT team. This role allows interns to gain experience by receiving formal industry training alongside an established mentor and providing hands-on diagnostic support to employees. The Technical Support Intern will focus on working with the IT team to set up a diverse range of employee software and technology and resolving Service Desk requests. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Provide first-level support analysis and diagnostics to resolve service desk requests
- Assist in technology troubleshooting and setup for employee PC hardware, email, phones, printers and copiers, software installations and more
- Create new employee accounts and deploy them to end users
- Work directly with IT staff and end users to diagnose and resolve issues with proprietary applications, third-party software and employee equipment
- Troubleshoot both hardware and software issues
- PowerShell scripting to automate various processes
- Other duties as assigned which might include lending IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, system administration, analytics, and asset management.
