What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Shamus Restaurant?
Duties:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- Sweep or scrub floors.
- Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Assist with food preparation and other kitchen tasks as needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher in a culinary setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions.
