The Physician Liaison is responsible for increasing volume to the organization through the facilitation of relationships built with community referral sources, identifying service gaps and resolving access and referral issues from assigned territory and targeted physician practices. The primary duties include face-to-face communication, developing relationships with internal and external community providers, and drive and sustain volume increases in service lines and services in alignment with UF Health St. Johns and the Physician Enterprise’s growth strategies and business plans.

The Physician Liaison is responsible for increasing volume to the organization through the facilitation of relationships built with community referral sources, identifying service gaps and resolving access and referral issues from assigned territory and targeted physician practices. The primary duties include face-to-face communication, developing relationships with internal and external community providers, and drive and sustain volume increases in service lines and services in alignment with UF Health St. Johns and the Physician Enterprise’s growth strategies and business plans.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist with the development and implementation of plans of action for identifying opportunities to increase volumes by determining and achieving physician engagement through open dialogue and in-person visits with both affiliated and non-affiliated physicians or physician groups.
Advocate for physicians and practices with leadership to identify additional business opportunities.
Provides management with market intelligence and competitive analysis reports.
Maintains a referring physician database and tracks and trends top gainers and decliners for referral volume.
Maintains a thorough understanding of service lines in order to effectively communicate and maintain relationships with current and new physician groups within assigned territory.
Performs any special assignments or tasks as needed or assigned.
Participate in meetings and on committees, as well as educational opportunities to continually improve personal performance and overall Imaging service excellence.
Qualifications
Associate's degree required, bachelor's preferred.
Three to five years of healthcare administration or sales experience required.
