Description
Shannon & Wilson, an employee-owned consulting firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, environmental, and natural resource services, seeks a Federal Marketing Director to increase federal contract revenue and expand client relationships across our Eastern Region offices (St. Louis, MO; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; Jacksonville, FL). The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting regional and corporate marketing efforts to secure federal contracts.

Key Responsibilities :
- Identify upcoming opportunities through GovWin and SAM, as well as through SAME, Federal agencies and other networking sources. Distribute and track these opportunities with the appropriate personnel.
- Develop a business plan, identifying firms where we have potential teaming opportunities, and secure teaming arrangements.
- Develop networking relationships with other consultants. Maintain or develop, as appropriate, relationships with the primary civilian design leads for USACE District offices, NAVFAC, and other Federal agencies / departments.
- Assist our other federal marketers in maintaining a list of strategic teaming partners that pursue Federal projects and would have an interest in teaming.
- Monitor and track existing federal contracts, particularly MATOCs, and assist with task orders.
- Use the relationships developed with firms / agencies where we hold current contracts to expand opportunities for our other offices.
- Coordinate SAME participation throughout the Eastern Region. Serve as our primary lead for SAME participation.
- Stay in touch with our existing Federal clients and agencies monitoring their level of satisfaction. Step in to resolve issues as necessary. Provide feedback to our Project Managers.
- Explore new teaming approaches that may provide increased opportunities for pursuing Federal work, including establishing joint-venture agreements or mentor-protege relationships.
It is anticipated that regular travel to our Eastern Region offices will be required, along with visits to other offices or conferences. All reasonable documented business expenses will be reimbursed.
It is our expectation that this individual’s business development and marketing efforts will result in progressive growth of the Federal-related revenue of our firm in the Eastern Region.
