Job Description: We are seeking to hire a litigation associate with 3-5 years of practice experience. The ideal candidate will have exposure in all aspects of commercial litigation, general equity matters, and probate litigation. Candidate will litigate business, commercial, general equity, estate, and guardianship matters, in addition to gaining exposure to the firm’s expanding cannabis law practice.
Associates at our firm are involved in all phases of litigation with opportunities to have direct client contact and appear in court early in their careers. Partners mentor associates to develop the skills of an excellent attorney.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
- Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.
- Experience drafting and arguing motions, and deposition experience.
- Trial experience a plus, but not required.
The candidate will work closely with other attorneys and paralegals, correspond and communicate with our clients’ business and legal personnel, and coordinate with attorneys across other practice disciplines.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong research skills and academic record.
- Strong interpersonal, drafting, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent drafting skills.
- Knowledge of local and federal securities laws.
- Should be a strong analytical thinker with a business mind.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to interact directly with clients.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey. Judicial clerkship a plus, but not required.
