Share and Care for Special People Inc. is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team! We have several positions available, including DSP and LPN
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience working with individuals in a group home setting
- Ability to build rapport with clients and staff alike.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Valid Driver's License and your own reliable transportation.
- Must be COVID-19 vaccinated
Responsibilities:
- Direct Support Professional will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Support individuals in performing basic activities of daily living such as eating, dressing, bathing, grooming, transferring, and receiving medication.
- Provide support with physical care such as assistance with feeding, ambulation/ mobility , bed rest, and personal hygiene.
- Assist clients with daily living tasks which may include transferring from one area of the house to another area of the house or between beds.
- Perform light housekeeping which includes cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and the bed themselves.
- Work with other team members to provide client care.
- Document and record information regarding client care in accordance with the Quality Assurance and Improvement (QAI) Program.
