We are currently seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. This position offers a unique change of scenery by means of working on a state-of-the-art mobile scanner, and ability to meet new people from various facilities. Anticipated Schedule :
4 days per week, day shift and NO CALL!
Weekly guarantee of hours
Responsibilities
You will competently perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with accepted standards of practice, including administering contrast agents (under the guidance and approval of the site Radiologist)
You will review and complete patient screening forms and properly explain the procedure to the patient
You must maintain excellent patient care, comfort, safety and confidentiality, in addition to maintaining your technical competency through continuing education
Qualifications : ARRT (R) registered
ARRT (MR) registered preferred
You will need to produce quality special imaging with limited supervision, and you must be able to interact in a responsible, professional and ethical manner
Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check, urine drug screen and physical

GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK : Under the general direction of the Regional Operations Manager, with the clinical supervision of the Radiologist at each site on the mobile route, performs examinations of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site Radiologist.
- Completes and signs Patient Screening form and explains the procedure to the patient.
- Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the coach and during the exam.
- Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs.
- Maintains competency to administer proper IV injections of contrast material / radioactive material as directed by modality.
- Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
- Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.
- Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed, if required.
- Provide images to the facility in the desired site format.
- Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent Team Members.
- Assists with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and / or manufacturers' guidelines.
- Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach / facility.
- Completes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. time reports, billing, QA, etc).
- Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies / procedures.
- Complies with all safety policies and regulations.
- Trains new Team Members as required and / or as assigned by the supervisor and / or SMS management.
- Performs additional duties as required.
