What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at SHAREPOINT CREDIT UNION?
The Marketing Coordinator will assist with the planning, direction, and coordination of
marketing initiatives to improve the credit union's competitive position,
consistent with its mission. To Design, develop, and deliver marketing
promotions and programs through digital and traditional mediums to support
expansion and growth of the credit union's initiatives.
Hours: This is a full time position (40 hours a week). Shifts for this role will generally fall between 8:30am-5:00pm, but may require occasional flexibility for marketing-related events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, implementing and monitoring marketing campaigns.
- Develop engaging content for email marketing, social media, website updates, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Collaborate with internal team to create promotional material that align with our brand, goals and compliance requirements.
- Plan and promote credit union events such as community outreach, member appreciation days, and financial literacy.
- Coordinate outreach programs, sponsorships, and community events to build strong relationships with members and local organizations.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate marketing campaigns to drive member acquisitions, retention, and product adoption.
- Manage the credit union’s website and digital presence, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and aligned with SEO best practice.
- Support business development initiatives and events.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure marketing materials comply with financial advertisement standards.
- Assist with financial literacy initiatives and community outreach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
- 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in financial service or credit union.
- Strong understanding of credit union products, service, and member-centric philosophy.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) and digital marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with social media management tools and email marketing software.
- Experience with event planning and community engagement.
- Creative thinker with keen eye for design.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
Performance Measurements:
- Collaborate with the department manager to analyze competitive data and provide strategic recommendations for market strategies that align with SharePoint's objectives.
- Ensure timely delivery of planned marketing initiatives within the established budget.
- Contribute to achieving the credit union's growth targets through effective marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to budgetary guidelines in all communications.
- Deliver exceptional service by providing friendly, professional, and accurate support to members and staff.
Work Environment:
Works in a typical office
environment, Lighting and temperature levels will be moderate, and noise levels
are generally quiet.
