Position: Retail Commission Sales Associate

Job Type: Full-Time (Active Work 30-35 Hours per Week)

Location: Reside in Florida, Approximately 50% Work from Home

Compensation:

First 90 Days of Employment: $33.50/Hour

After 90 Days: Hourly Rate: $20.00/Hour Commission

Commission Structure After 90 Days*:

Commission are paid every two weeks

Minimum sales required to qualify for commission

After minimum, $30.00/item sold

* It is anticipated that your total compensation will be more than $33.50 per hour, but this will depend on your organization and sales skills.

About Sharetown: Sharetown is the largest national network of liquidation centers for the resell of returned and overstock big and bulky products such as mattresses, furniture, and fitness equipment, and is trusted by top name brands to resell thousands of products per month. This position will initially focus on selling top brand mattresses.

Position Overview: As a Sharetown Sales Associate, you will prepare, advertise, and sell products on local online platforms like Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist and NextDoor. Sharetown provides training and ad templates - no cold calling required. You will engage with buyers, answer questions, showcase inventory and offer delivery as needed. You will also manage and organize the storage facility, keeping it clean and inviting. Sales and transactions will be handled directly between you and customers. Evening and weekend availability is required, as these are peak buying times, but you’ll have flexibility in managing your schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Actively list and promote all products on local marketplace platforms
• Engage and answer customer’s questions about specific products
• Inspect, clean and sanitize product in preparation for sale
• Manage the storage and organization of products
• Coordinate with potential buyers to display, show and sell products
• Handle payment transactions from customers and report accurate sales information
• Receive incoming product and coordinate delivery of sold product to customers
• Stay up to date and familiar with all products you sell

A Successful Sales Associate:

• Repeatedly hits sales targets
• Consistently advertises all items for sale on multiple platforms
• Builds relationships of trust and mutual respect with customers to gain referrals to increase sales
• Effectively communicates with customers and Sharetown to find solutions to potential problems
• Maintains a clean, organized workspace that feels welcoming to customers

Qualifications:

• Must be able to use your personal vehicle for occasional product transport; midsize or larger SUV, truck or trailer for transporting products as needed
• Be able to lift at least 75
• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
• Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies
• Must have an active Facebook Account and experience with Facebook Marketplace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Outstanding customer service skills
