Job Summary
Sharon Country Club is a 9-hole private club located in Sharon, CT. The club is on 200 acres and boasts a classically designed 9-hole routing. In addition, SCC has a three-hole short course, a driving range, and a dedicated short game practice area. Other amenities include 4 Har-Tru tennis courts and two platform tennis courts. The membership is dedicated to continuous improvement and upgrades to the golf course, practice facilities and over grounds of the club. The work environment is engaging, supportive, fun and dynamic.
The role of this position will be assisting the Superintendent and Assistant in the more technical aspects of turf management. This includes topdressing, brushing, and rolling greens. The individual will be required to spray greens, tees, and fairways and will need to have a Connecticut pesticide applicators license or the ability to obtain one in 30 days.
Primary Responsibilities
· Apply pesticides and fertilizers on greens, tees, and fairways
· Ability to top dress, brush, and roll greens
· Hand water localized dry spots on greens
· Course set up
Additionally, the individual will be trained on Lynx irrigation software and irrigate greens, tees, and fairways as directed. Additional responsibilities will be required as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.

· Operate equipment safely and satisfactorily.
· Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
· Attention to detail and ability to work independently with little to no close supervision.
This is a seasonal position that starts in April and ends in October. Weekly work schedule and start/end dates can be discussed at greater length during the interview.
