Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Preparation Worker to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared safely and efficiently. You will play a crucial part in supporting our kitchen staff and providing high-quality food service to our clients. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and have a keen interest in meal preparation and menu planning.

Duties

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
• Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dietary needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards..
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistent quality of dishes.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline kitchen operations with Front of House and enhance efficiency.
• When kitchen is not busy and the bar is busy, you will provide support to the Front of House and share tips.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff effectively.
• A passion for cooking and helping others through meal preparation.
• Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to catering and menu planning.

Pay: $16.97 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
