Description: A charming 30-room motel in Burney is seeking an experienced Live-On-Site Motel Manager. This individual will oversee daily operations of the front desk and housekeeping, ensure all communications uphold the highest standards for guest satisfaction, and act as the primary contact for guests in the absence of other staff.
Compensation: Includes a spacious, beautifully updated 1-bedroom apartment on-site, featuring a modern kitchen and generous living quarters.
Essential Job Functions:
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support staff, ensuring they adhere to brand standards and property values.
- Resolve guest complaints and concerns by thoroughly researching situations and determining the most effective solutions.
- Monitor and improve guest satisfaction scores, working toward increasing overall guest satisfaction.
- Engage with guests individually to foster relationships and encourage repeat stays.
- Oversee front office operations in the absence of other staff members.
- Make and confirm reservations.
- Promote brand-specific marketing programs.
- Greet guests upon arrival; register and assign rooms.
- Compute bills, collect payments, handle cash, and provide change for guests.
- Close out guest accounts at check-out, negotiating compromises if necessary, including authorizing revenue allowances.
- Ensure the motel entrance, reception, and other public areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of hotel front desk experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Proficiency with computers and systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
