The Director of Behavioral Health is a strong leader that oversees all functions of the Behavioral Health Program on a 24-hour basis. They lead the supervision, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Additionally, they devise and execute programmatic plans, ensuring compliance with CMS, JACHO, local and California regulatory requirements.
- Supervises and assesses all staff within the Behavioral Health program, effectively managing resources and time for the unit.
- Reports directly to the CNO and maintain clear communication with staff, physicians, and administration through both written and verbal channels.
- Develops and implements comprehensive Behavioral Health Programming tailored to meet patient demographic needs while aligning with the organization's mission, philosophy, and objectives.
- 20 bed unit - High Acuity Adult
The Director of Behavioral Health Services into the continuum of care as per facility requirements, offering leadership, direction, and clinical supervision in line with organizational and departmental goals.
- Valid Registered Nurse Licensure and BSN or Social Worker with master's degree and LCSW
- 2 years’ experience in psychiatric nursing providing care to the mentally ill or be qualified by education and experience in the care of the mentally ill, in accordance with local and state regulatory requirements.
- 2 years management experience with Behavioral Health Care programs.
- Inpatient Experience a must
- BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
