Job Summary
Defense medical malpractice firm is seeking a full-time experienced paralegal.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Scheduling and maintaining attorney calendars;
- Issuing Subpoenas, organizing medical records and bills;
- Drafting and sending correspondence to clients, counsel, witnesses, courts, and others;
- Performing docket checks, filing and e-filing documents;
- Preparing written discovery;
- Management of cases from inception to trial.
- Qualifications and Skills
Requirements include:
- Previous experience as a paralegal, legal assistant;
- Must be self-motivated;
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills;
- Excellent written and oral skills;
- Experience with computer applications including Word;
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines;
- Able to work independently and within a team.
