Job Summary :
Manages the administrative and document control requirements of the project. In the performance of these functions, the Project Engineer is responsible for the protection and promotion of the interests of Shaw in all matters.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the administrative and document control tasks as required. Specific duties include :
- Setup job document controls to manage project information, including :
Jobsite files
Record DrawingsSubmittal ScheduleSubmittal LogRFI LogElectronic document systemsLEED or other green program documentationPreparing a submittal schedule for PM and Superintendent approvalReceiving, reviewing, distributing and logging submittals (some review and approval by Superintendent)Preparing weekly submittal status report for OAC meetingAssisting the Superintendent with the RFI processReceiving, distributing and recording any clarification documents (RFI’s, ASI’s, new drawings)Preparing a weekly RFI status report for OAC meetingAssisting the PM requesting, collecting and reviewing subcontractor pricing on changesPrepare subcontractor modifications for PM approval and signatureAdministrate and document the LEED or other green programAssisting the PM with assembling Owner change ordersAssisting the PM with collecting and reviewing subcontractor / vendor billings and invoicesAssisting the PM with review of monthly job costs and facilitating correction of cost coding errorsDevelop a list of turnover requirementsFacilitate building turnover, including punchlist trackingDevelop a list of required closeout documentsCollect and log closeout documentsDevelop a list of required closeout items for each subcontractFacilitate subcontract closeoutAssist the Superintendent with QA / QC documentationAssist the Superintendent with weekend / vacation field coverageParticipate in company trainingAssist with pre-construction, including estimating and quantification.Education / Experience :
Four-year college degree in engineering, architecture or construction management required.Compensation :
Pay Type : SalaryPay Range : $65,000 to $85,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.Other Compensation : Bonus commensurate with individual performance, company performance, and experience.Benefits :
