Primary Responsibilities:
- Learn the fundamentals of the HR functions at Shaw, covering a variety of topics including but not limited to total rewards, HR compliance and employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and development, LOA, and more.
- Conduct investigations.
- Assist with associate experience projects at facilities.
- Address associate concerns and determine best next steps.
- Assist with maintaining staffing levels
- Provide support to the assigned business areas of manufacturing facilities and other areas of operations as needed
- Assist with succession planning and talent development.
- Ability to work off shift as needed
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree in HR management or related field
- General Business & Employment Law Acumen
- Ability to operate successfully within a team
- Ability to manage and resolve conflict
- Ability to coach peers or others
- Ability to influence/communicate across the entire spectrum of the workforce
- Ability to travel between facilities in the NW Ga area
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of HR experience preferred
- Bilingual
