Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Vocational Assistant is responsible for implementing daily programming as prescribed. This is a hands-on position, which includes providing assistance with vocational and work-related skills, independent and daily living skills, mobility skills, social developments, and personal cares (including toileting and feeding). It also requires the ability to follow through on established behavior plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Implements daily programs as established by Vocational Specialist to promote personal growth and independence in participant i.e. ADL skills, personal care, social/community, mobility skills, and pre-vocational skills according to the individualized service plan.
-Provide general supervision for the consumers assigned, at all times, present at the workshop including breaks, lunch and social activities and/or work enclaves.
-Provides transportation to participants for community outings and community work.
-Provides backup supervision for the Prevocational/Day Service Program in the absence of the Vocational Specialist.
-Provides input into the developing, evaluating, and charting of individual Program Plans on a semi-annual basis.
-Perform other related duties and participates in special projects.
Requirements:
-High school diploma or GED.
-One to three months related experience.
-Requires a valid Wisconsin Driver's license and adequate insurance coverage as required by the County.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.26 - $24.30 per hour
