POSITION SUMMARY
This position has operational responsibility for the manufacturing and distribution facility in Fairfield Ohio. In addition, the Site Manager supports the Global Operations Manager in steering and controlling the Profit & Loss, Assets & Liabilities, Capital Expenditures, Human Resources, and IT of the Americas region. The Site Manager operates with a broad operational scope with support from the Global Operations Manager and typical general support from corporate management that encourages the site manager to be autonomous in their approach. The Site Manager is part of the Americas leadership team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Global Operations Manager and the Global Automotive and Industrial/Infrastructure General Managers in developing and executing the annual SPBP.
- Maintaining Intimacy with Key Customers, Enhancing Company Reputation, Brand, Image & Market Focus.
- Develop and achieve the Americas manufacturing and distribution plan to achieve the SPBP.
- Develop and execute a capacity and CAPEX plan to deliver the requirements of the SPBP.
- Maintaining service quality levels.
- Assuring quality management system is in place and followed.
- Champion continuous improvement activities in all aspects.
- Ensure alignment of Sales, Operations and Engineering.
- Ensure an effective S&OP process is in place.
- Monitoring performance against the SPBP and the monthly/annual financial plan.
- Manage capital expenditures & assets.
- Coordinate with corporate IT to ensure IT business needs are met.
- Organizational structure development to support SPBP objectives and long-term growth imperatives.
- Employee development to support the planned organizational structure and succession planning.
- Leadership development (e.g. Coaching, Mentoring, Communications, etc.).
- Actively promote DSG’s culture by exemplifying our values; Trust, Respect, Openness, Commitment and Goal Orientation throughout the organization.
- Foster an environment that drives positive employee relations and stimulates employee engagement.
- Development and implementation of employee accountability tools (e.g. Monthly Reports, Objectives and Targets, Metrics, DMP) for direct and indirect reports.
- Ensure Shawcor HR policies are applied fairly and consistently.
- Develop and nurture a strong relationship amongst the various functional groups within the organization (e.g. Sales, Planning, Distribution, etc.).
- Day-to-day implementation support and supervision of the HSE system to achieve IIF status.
- Oversight of programs to ensure HSE policies and objectives are achieved.
- Ensuring compliance with all Regulatory Requirements.
- Legal Representation towards Authorities and Stakeholders.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Accounting required; MBA preferred.
- 3 to 5 years experience in an Industrial Manufacturing setting.
- 6 to 10 years experience in Senior Management.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, communication and facilitation / team building skills & experience
- Strong analytical skills and experience in profit center management
- Strong Human relations skills & experience.
- Extensive knowledge of production and safety management, occupational health and safety and employment standards legislation
- Knowledge of EN ISO 9001, IATF 16949, EN 9100 & EN ISO14001 quality systems
- Knowledge of World Class manufacturing techniques such as ERP, Kaizen, Six Sigma, JIT, Lean, TQM, KanBan, COQ, ERP, etc.

Salary : $112,000 - $142,000
