Job Title: Drop & Count Supervisor
General Definition: Ensure the collection, transferring, counting and verification of all
collected monies from gaming machines to Soft Count Room, and preparation of all departmental paperwork.
Supervision Received: Controller
Supervision Exercised: Drop & Count Department
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure adequate staffing for department by interviewing and selecting staff for open positions and arranging for contingency staff in correlation to business needs. Redirects the labor force according to changing activity for each shift to maintain optimum operational levels.
Perform periodic audits of departmental process and procedures to ensure adherence to MICS and TICS compliance standards. Develop recommendations for changes/ improvements, as necessary and submit to the Gaming Commission for approval to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
Communicate departmental procedures to promote understanding and compliance by employees to maintain smooth and effective departmental operations on gaming floor. Relate policies to his/her subordinates while ensuring adherence and consistent enforcement.
Review and approve departmental paperwork completed by employees by verifying the accuracy of monies and chips received during the facility pull of electronic gaming machines and table games.
Maintains an accurate count and the highest security for all transactions and ensure the supervision of the count and verification of all monies brought in from the gaming floor to uphold compliance standards.
Coordinate with other departments or outside vendors as needed to facilitate changes to gaming floor layout in relation to the drop/pull process, opening/closing of machines, or departmental machine repair.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Training and Experience:
Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in a casino environment
Four (4) years banking, casino, and/or cash handling experience with large sums of money required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies
Must possess the ability to handle/count large amounts of cash utilizing currency and coin counters, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Must be able to perform 10 key by touch to perform assigned job duties correctly
May be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, possess good manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordination, but these requirements are based on needs of facility and staffing
Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged periods
Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; requires normal vision/hearing range and basic math skills in order to perform assigned duties correctly
Must be able to work in fast paced, environment
Must be able to work flexible schedule including; evenings, weekends, holidays and promotional events
Must be able to work in a smoke filled casino environment
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
Must be able to pass a background check and receive/maintain a license or permit from the Shawnee Tribe Gaming Commission
Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result
