Job Title : Construction Safety Manager
Location : Jeffersonville, IN
Duration : 3-6 months
Job Type : 1099 Contract
Compensation :
Hourly Rate : $55 - $58
Per Diem : No Per Diem
Pay : Weekly
Schedule / Hours : 50-60 hours per week, including some weekends
Project Scope : The Safety Manager will provide safety oversight for an electrical contractor on a Data Center project . Key responsibilities include :
Developing and implementing safety plans specific to the Data Center environment.
Conducting site safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
Managing and enforcing Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Delivering safety training and ongoing education for site personnel.
Investigating incidents and providing corrective action recommendations.
Qualifications / Experience / Certifications / Education :
5 years of construction safety experience
5 years of electrical safety / and Data Center project experience
BCSP certification ( CHST , ASP , STS-C , CSP , etc.) or a 4-year degree in Occupational Safety , Electrical Engineering , or a related field
NFPA 70E certification
Expertise in Lockout / Tagout (LOTO)
HAZWOPER certification
Current First Aid / CPR / AED certification
Key Responsibilities :
Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols tailored to Data Center environments.
Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Lead and oversee Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70E standards.
Facilitate safety training sessions and provide ongoing education for site personnel.
Investigate and document workplace incidents , recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Maintain and manage all safety-related documentation , including reports and contractor correspondence.
