Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 3 months
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $50 - $55/HR
Per Diem: Not available
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
40 hours/week | Monday - Friday
Project Scope:
This project involves safety oversight for electrical installation at a data center, including hot work, lockout/tagout, and related safety protocols. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and administering site-specific safety plans and providing daily oversight of field activities to ensure compliance and safe work practices.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
Certifications: OSHA 510 required
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
Develop and implement safety plans specific to electrical installation activities
Provide safety training as needed
Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices, including LOTO and hot work
Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills:
Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
OSHA outreach training experience is a plus
Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, particularly electrical and data center operations, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
