Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Wilson, NC

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $50 - $55/hr
Per Diem: No Per Diem
Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
Hours: 40 - 50 hours a week, with some weekends
Project Scope:
New construction at an existing pharmaceutical manufacturing facility involving trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural work, as well as heavy civil construction. Requires a thorough understanding of SOPs such as safety protocols for pharmaceutical environments and general industry standards like OSHA 1910 and 1926.
Qualifications:
5 years of construction, industrial, or civil experience
OSHA 30 at minimum; OSHA 510/511 preferred
Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations
Familiarity with ANSI, NFPA, and NIOSH standards
HAZWOPER certified
First Aid/CPR certified
NFPA 70E knowledge required
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
Provide safety training as needed
Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices
Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
Collaborate with project management teams to ensure safety goals are met
Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications

Skills:
Excellent public speaking and communication abilities

Knowledge:
