Job Title: Site Safety Manager
Location: Fredericksburg, PA
Duration: 1 year
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $50 - $52
Per Diem: $110/day
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
Hours: 50 hours/week - Straight time | Overtime after 50 hours
Project Scope:
General construction of a food processing plant. All major trades involved, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of safety experience in construction and/or manufacturing environments
Certifications: BCSP certification required (e.g., CHST, CSP, OHST)
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
Provide safety training as needed to ensure OSHA compliance
Monitor worksite personnel and enforce safety practices and procedures
Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills:
Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking
Ability to work independently and collaboratively on-site
OSHA outreach training experience is a plus
Professionalism and confidentiality in managing sensitive information
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of OSHA standards and general construction safety practices, with specific experience in large-scale industrial or food facility environments.
