What are the responsibilities and job description for the Highway Summer Help - LTE position at Sheboygan County?
Work is performed in a shed and outdoor settings, including but not limited to construction sites. Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, but, must be capable of lifting 100 pounds. A combination of sitting and standing postures may be required, use of hands, ability to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to regularly work five eight-hour days and/or four ten-hour days and the ability to adapt to working non-standard work hours, including weekends, late evenings, early mornings and holidays. Ability to work in an environment with occasional exposure to unpleasant odors and non-toxic fumes. Ability to work in an environment with exposure to adverse temperature and/or humidity extremes. Must be able to operate construction equipment, trucks, tools and equipment. Risk of blood borne pathogen exposure is considered low.
Reports directly to Shed Supervisors, is indirectly supervised by Transportation Director and Maintenance Managers. Has frequent contact with other County employees, municipal employees, vendors, contractors, and members of the general public.
