Job Title: Group Leader
Reports To: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for the daily supervision of the Route Department, training new Route Drivers and running Routes when necessary. Assists Route Drivers with their daily job duties which include, but are not limited to, servicing accounts, merchandising accounts, and resolving customer issues/complaints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the Route Department.
- Runs Routes if/when a Route Driver is absent.
- Trains new Route employees in the duties and responsibilities of a Route Driver.
- Communicates company policies and procedures effectively.
- Evaluates Route performance and condition and provides feedback to Management.
- Provides a high level of customer service, such as listening to and resolving service complaints.
- Performs account maintenance when necessary, such as cleaning equipment or making price changes.
- Merchandises Routes and makes accurate changes when needed.
- Handles money responsibly.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:
· High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
· 6 months of professional driving experience preferred
· Prior experience in a Management/Supervision role preferred
· Valid Drivers License
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is to remain in a stationary position for 60 percent of the time while operating the vehicle. They constantly operate company trucks. They use their hands continuously while performing all job duties. Most of the activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items. They must be able to bend, climb, and occasionally lift product over their heads. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the office and shop. Must be able to detect mechanical issues and part defects from short distances to determine what action needs to be taken. They must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 60 pounds. The individual must be capable of carrying and loading and unloading different products.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; hot and/or cold conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
