Position Summary:
This role provides leadership and direction to the Sheer Logistics billing team, coordinates workflow, and monitors performance to ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures. In addition to managing day-to-day billing activities, this position works with the Controller to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee and manage the billing team to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends and issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve collection processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice and payment processing.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to management.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in collections and credit
- Prior team supervisory experience
- Prior experience in Logistics preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Self-starter with a proven track record of multi-tasking abilities
- Expertise with various types of accounting software platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly skilled and proficient at verifying financial or transactional data
- Strong competence and technical skills of Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications and Collection integrated systems and processes with ability to share learning with team.
- Ability to integrate and interpret disparate sources of data using a broad range of analytical data tools.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel.

Compensation: $60,000-$84,000 annually
Work Location: Sheer’s office: St. Louis(hybrid)
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Sedentary inside office work with limited exposure to weather conditions.
