Receiving Clerk

At Sheffield Pharmaceuticals, the home of the original Sheffield Toothpaste, we offer exclusive, quality, branded products to promote wellness and relief to our customers. Our wellness and first aid products include a variety of creams and ointments, nasal products, and toothpaste all made in the USA since 1850.

We currently have a Receiving Clerk position available open at our Norwich location. Experience in Shipping/Receiving including use of Forklift and Pallet Jacks preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Vendors and 3PL to coordinate inbound dock appointments
• Verifying product upon receipt, ensuring accuracy and quality of material received.
• Receiving deliveries into the warehouse.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System to receive material into inventory.
• Tracking and updating the status of deliveries.
• Operating warehouse equipment.
• Reviewing purchase orders as needed, work with team to ensure accuracy.
• Organizing and cataloging inventory.
• Request transportation updates and information when required to meet needs of production.
• Works overtime when required by management.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of work area.
• Organize and pull samples to be inspected by Quality Control as needed.
• Willingly accepts assignments in other areas/departments as needed.
• Maintain proper liaison with all departments to contribute to the team philosophy.
• Responsible for following all safety regulations and complying with SOP's, DEP, EPA, OSHA, FDA, and cGMP's while performing duties. Attend in-house training sessions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Shipping/Receiving and use of forklift/pallet jacks preferred
• Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn in-house systems
