Shegerian & Associates, a Premier Employment Law Firm, is Hiring a Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Shegerian & Associates is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team. The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing, processing, and maintaining payroll, salaries, and compensation data with accuracy and confidentiality
- Auditing Time & Attendance records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring timely reconciliations
- Calculating and inputting wages, bonuses, and deductions
- Addressing payroll-related inquiries from employees
- Ensuring compliance with tax laws, payroll regulations, and ERISA regulations
- Maintaining payroll records and generating relevant reports for management
- Administering all benefit plans, including but not limited to insurance, 401(k), FSA, and cafeteria plans, and answering enrollment-related inquiries
- Onboarding new employees
- Offboarding employees
- Handling EDD, SDI, PFL, and unemployment
- Administer Leave of Absence requests
- Processing workers' compensation claims
- Maintaining the Employee Handbook

Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have at least two of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration
- Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
Schedule
Hours will vary between 30-35 hours per week with the capacity to become a 40 hour per week position. Must be available to work 8 hour days when needed.
Salary : $27 - $38
